Lecture on Crime Prevention for International Students
On Friday, July 29, 2022, the Center for International Education and Exchange and the Office of International Affairs held an online crime prevention lecture for international students by the Kofu Police Department, attended by about 40 international students.
This event is held every year with the cooperation of the Kofu Police Department to ensure a safe student life for international students.
This year, we invited assistant police inspector Keita Wakabayashi and Police Sergeant Yu Ashizawa, who gave detailed explanations on a wide range of topics such as theft, molestation, dangerous drugs, and stimulants.
Police Sergeant Ashizawa said, “You may have an image that Japan is a safe country, but there are people who commit crimes even in Japan, and it is possible to get involved in crimes. I want you to learn about crime and be very careful,” he said.
