The International Student Exchange Partner Program held one-day bus trip
On Saturday, December 2, 2023, Center for Promotion of Internationalization held a one-day bus trip as a part of the International Student Exchange Partner Program. The destinations were Oshino Village and Fujikawaguchiko Town, and seven international/Japanese students participated.
On the day of the trip, the group departed from the University of Yamanashi by bus and went to Oshino Village to experience making Hoto(a popular regional dish in Yamanashi), followed by a walk around “Oshino Hakkai”. Afterwards, students joined a guided tour of the flora and fauna of Jukai (the Sea of Trees) at the “Lake Saiko Nature Center” and finally visited “Ryugu Cave”. The participants got impressed deeply with Japanese culture during this trip.
Three international students and four Japanese students who enrolled at University of Yamanashi this year took part in this bus trip. This trip was a great opportunity for both international students and Japanese students to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and each other.
